stop the press, ive done it... just, ive got the week 5 blog out on time.
Well what's been happening in this nonstop week of Phoenix based fun.
We've had a group at Beamish, even braving public transport to get there.
We've had the phoenix construction test their whits at an escape room, which they succeeded in.
we've had a session exploring the coastlines of Sunderland climbing over rocks and going through caves.
We've spent a morning at Footgolf and Pitch and putt
And we've spent an afternoon at the winter gardens, despite it not being even remotely wintery.
This week has also seen us continuing a lot of detached work, crisis and 1 to 1 support, an aspect of our work that still ongoing in the summer and while we like to focus on the activities as they are fun to write about, they have been and always will be a tool which we use to form relationships between young people and engage in conversation, so that if they ever do feel in crisis, they know we are there. They also provided young people (and staff) a break from the norm and a chance to get out and about.
1 week to go and the coffee supply is running low. wish us luck as we head into a jam packed final week
