Young people brave storms to raise money
Between the 19th and 22nd of May, three intrepid young men and two members of staff went sea kayaking in Oban on the West Coast of Scotland. The trip was set up to raise money for, and awareness of fuel poverty, which is a problem both nationally and for local people in North Tyneside, especially in poorer areas. The team braved extreme weather and freezing temperatures during the expedition, and all involved were challenged by the experience (even Mike!). The trip raised around £250 which will be used to fund fuel vouchers for people facing crisis this winter. There is a short video in our video gallery.
